Welcome to
The Lorn Coastal Rowing Club
(SCO50249)

We are a welcoming, fun and exploratory coastal rowing club and row regularly
from Dunstaffnage marina just outside Oban.
We are Lorn Costal rowing club (LCRC).
We are passionate about promoting physical and mental wellbeing and encouraging teamwork in a fun, safe and stunning coastal environment.
Our club is based at Dunstaffnage Marina and is home to Cruachan, our 22 ft long, clinker built, fixed seat St Ayles Skiff which is rowed by a crew of four and helmed by a coxswain. We row all year round though the summer gives us much better light and conditions to row more often in the evenings and further at weekends.
Join us today to experience our vibrant rowing community..

About Lorn CRC
Cruachan (our Skiff) is rowed and maintained by local members and members from further afield and we aim to enjoy the opportunities a shared boat affords for recreation, adventure and sport. Opportunities also exist to develop the competitive sport of coastal rowing. Lorn coastal rowing is committed to maintaining high standards of safety and competence in coastal rowing with regular classroom and on-water cox training sessions and a logbook of coxing skills. Members are encouraged to develop skills in boat handling and seamanship and we look to run skills development and water safety workshops when possible We are keen to attract rowers to join our fun and friendly club and to enjoy the rowing as much as we do.
LCRC has been awarded Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), charity number: SC050249.
